i've had a request to add that ALI NEWMAN was the other half of me during the soulja boy concert.

and it wasn't so much of a request, then a jest. and then i realized how crazy it was that i never even gave her the recognition she so deserved.

i have run concerts before. i have been in that high stress, trying to figure things out, trying to do last minute things, going through a checklist sort of thing.

ALI NEVER HAS. she HASN'T run a concert. it ISN'T her job. and she trooped through and acted like this was second nature to her. i was amazed. i expected to be able to handle things that arose, but i didn't realize there would be two of us handling everything as it arose. it made the concert run that much better, and it would not have happened without her. undoubtedly. i could have done an okay job, but the two of us together NAILED IT.

and i'm positive that she could do it again. single handedly. because she's just naturally talented in seeing things in the here & now and also the big picture, and finding out what needs to happen to to make that big picture look beautiful.

she's the best.
