okay update!

convention totally kicked off today!

my brain is like, haywire and exhausted right now, so if things don't come in like, complete thoughts or just very scattered, just go with it!

revision of the bands i posted. some of those were not bands. knucklehead zoo was a dance troupe. they were awesome, so if you have free time, you tube that.

the bands that performed tonight were:
josiah bell (he was.. blah. don't check him out. none of us were impressed)
howie day (incredible. he was amazing. really, blew me away)
FLOREZ (really really good. a band of three guys. really check them out, because they were so so impressive. a lot of fun, and a light, summery feel. plus, the bassist was SUPER attractive. he was also on survivor china. so attractive. i'm not even joking)
forever the sickest kids (a really fun group. the rest of SAB didn't like them, but i thought they were good. however, if everyone likes them, there are a million other artists in that genre we've been wanting to bring that have a bigger name, same cost, and a bigger draw. something to keep in mind)
mint condition pulled from the conference, but another guy took over. the dude could SING. he might be good to bring acoustic. i can't remember is name, but when i get the booklet (i'm sitting in the lobby right now) i'll remember to post it!
dick prall (i didn't get a chance to hear him, but i wanted to SO BADLY. i scored a cd though, so sweet life. i'll listen soon!)

okay so make sure you check them out! just google them, listen, etc.

there was also a hilarious comedian. his name was vidur kapur. if you want to laugh A LOT listen to him!

okay, i can't possibly keep my eyes open for ten minutes longer, so i believe its time for sleep!

listen to the bands, let me know what you think, and do the survey!

I really liked all three of the artists on the poll, but I think FLOREZ would be the best bet for us. Forever The Sickest Kids was good and their genre is really popular right now, but I got this feeling that they probably don't sound anywhere near as good live as they do on the recordings. I could be totally wrong though.

I also think Howie Day would be successful here. He's had a few big hits, which would definitely help draw people to the show.

Hope you're having fun!

So i listened to all three bands, I think all three had talent:
Florez- was really good and i think sounds kinda like Gavin Degraw! Might be perfect for Lawn Concert?
Forever The Sickest Kids- i have seen them live before and i think they put on a good show. Def would bring a crowd
Dick Prall- is playing while i write this. he is unique and sounds good!
I think any of these would bring a crowd at UK!
